02/20/2012 - New Brunswick Swimming Results From Easterns

The 2012 Speedo Eastern Canadian Swimming Championships were held over the past weekend in Gatineau. New Brunswick swimmers had a great weekend with Cassidy Richards of FAST bringing home gold in 15 & under girls 50 Fly. Louis Savoie of CNBO also had top 10 finishes in male 16 & under 50 Fly, 50 Breast, 100 Breast and 100 Fly. Madeline Leger also of CNBO placed 14 th in Girls 15 & under 50 Back. Other swimmers competing at the event included Amanda Greene of CVAC and Dylan Wooley Berry of SSC. Full results from Eastern Canadian Championship weekend can be found here:

02/14/2012 - NB University Swimmers Reach Podium at 2012 AUS Swimming Championships

The 2012 AUS Championships were held this past weekend at Dalplex pool in Halifax, NS and New Brunswick university swimmers were well represented on the podium over the 3 day event. From UNB - Daniel Losier captured silver in 100 Breast and 3 bronze medals in 100 Back, 50 Breast and 200 IM. Monica MacDonald, captured bronze in 50 Fly and Kaitlyn Young captured bronze in 100 Fly. UNB Women also reached the podium with 3 silver medals in 400 Free, 800 Free & 400 Medley relays. For the UNB men Chris Garcelon won gold in 50 Breast and bronze in 50 Free with the UNB men capturing silver in the 400 Medley relay. Mount Allison swimmer Mitchell Peters captured triple gold in 100, 200 & 400 Free events with Mount A men capturing silver in 400 Free and 800 Free relays. Mount A women finished with a bronze in the 800 Free relay. Dalhousie Tiger Keisha Mills won silver in womens 200 Breast. For complete meet results follow this link:

01/31/2012 - Chris Overholt, CEO of the Canadian Olympic Committee Presents New Timing System in Moncton

City of Moncton was hailed as a world class host for sporting events and receives a $50,000 donation from Mr. Overholt as part of the Olympic Legacy Fund. As a result of the donation, Codiac Vikings Aquatic Club and Club de Natation Bleu et Or partnered with the Universite de Moncton to obtain $27,000 of the $50,000 towards a new electronic timing system for the CEPS pool. This has been a great partnership between two clubs from greater Moncton. Both CNBO and CVAC would like to thank the Canadian Olympic Committee, CEO Chris Overholt, City of Moncton, Mayor George LeBlanc, Universite de Moncton, Recteur Yvon Fontaine for supporting competitive swimming in Moncton.
