Jacob Gallant has really gone to another level with his swimming both in practice and in his performances at meets. His attendance at practice is exemplary (85% for the year, while still playing hockey in the winter) and he gives 100% of himself every time he gets in the pool. He has figured out what all coaches are trying to teach their swimmers; hard work and attention to stroke detail will lead to extraordinary results.
The proof of that can be seen in the 11 individual and 2 relay provincial records he has set in the last 2 months (some of which were nearly 30 years old). He won top 12/13 year old male at this year’s Marianne Limpert Team Championships, top 12 and under male at the TAS Long Course Championships and won top FINA 12 and under male at the Swim NB banquet.
He is an incredible motivator for the other swimmers in his group, has taken his success with a humility beyond his years and he has some very big goals he wants complete in the next year. We are all in awe of what he has already accomplished and excited to see what he will do next. Keep it up Jacob, you make us all very proud!
