Over the past two months I have had the delight to observe and work with Jasmine at two important swim meets. Jasmine represented BLAST at Easterns at the University of Laval in Quebec City this past February. Competing at this meet for the first time, Jasmine was full of questions and eagerly sought ways to improve her performances each race and was excited to make it into Finals. Jasmine placed very well in the competition and continued to make large improvements each time she hit the water.
More recently, Jasmine competed at the 11th Interprovincial championship in Sherbrooke, Qc, where she dominated her field and the overall competition claiming 7 individual gold medals and contributing to a gold and silver medal relay teams. Jasmine’s performances earned her 626 FINA points in the 50 Breast, and 626 FINA points in the 100 Breast. Exceeding the 600 FINA point mark on multiple swims now, Jasmine is well on her way to becoming a top and dominating Racer in the Province.
Well done Jasmine. It has been a pleasure to have been able to share this journey with you, your coach and team.
