Canada Games Selection

The Canada Games Trials competition from May 5- 8th 2022, is the most important competition. The athlete will choose a maximum of 7 events before May 5th, in addition to signing the CANADA GAMES TEAM CONTENDER’S DECLARATION

The NB Spring Championship competition from March 25 to 27th 2022 is more of a preparation. The athlete will choose a maximum of 7 events which may be the same or part of the 7 events in May.

The best time will count for the athlete who chooses the same swim in March and May.

All officials are encouraged to participate as we will need everyone to run this meet properly. Officials wishing to participate and/or be evaluated are requested to send in their names to the Officials Coordinator Amy Esson.

Development Camp – Central Region

Swim NB announces the 3rd development camp of the season for swimmers from the central region clubs to be held on April 3rd, 2022, in St Stephen. The list of swimmers is available on our website: https://www.swimnb.ca/swimmers/

Swimmers and coaches have until March 27th to sign up by using the link: https://www.swimnb.ca/forms/swim-nb-camp/ No entry free for this camp and all swimmers will receive a swim NB cap.

2022 Canadian Masters Swimming Championships

Entries for the 2022 Canadian Masters Swimming Championships opened last week. Information regarding the entry process can be found in the meet package on the Swimming Canada website here. You can find the link to the user guides for the individual meet entry form in the meet package.

Please note there is a cap limit for the distance events. The 800 m freestyle will be limited to 80 men and 80 women. The 1500 m freestyle will be limited to 70 men and 70 women. Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

She is Active NB – “I am” campaign

She is Active NB; the Network for women and girls in sport and recreation in New Brunswick is excited to announce the official launch of its “I am” campaign which promotes and encourages women and girls to be active in sport and recreation.

The campaign will run from March 21st to April 30th and will include a video and various social media assets in both official languages. It aims to inspire both the girls that should stay active and the role models they can look up to. The video will be available to view next Monday, March 21st at www.sheisactivenb.ca and on She is Active NB’s social media channels (@SheElleActiveNB). We encourage you to please share the “I am” campaign on your social media channels over the next 6 weeks
