Canada Games Staff Meeting
Between the two Saturday sessions at the Spring Long Course Championships, the 2022 Canada Games Leadership Team met to discuss and put in place a plan for the swim team’s preparation for the upcoming Games of Canada which will take place from August 6 to 13, 2022 in the greater Niagara region. It is important that these young athletes have a positive experience at this Games.

SNB Swimmers Funding
As you are aware, Swim NB provides three types of financial assistance to eligible swimmers: Travel Funding, Performance Incentive Funding and Provincial Carding. We invite all coaches of eligible swimmers to complete the following online form in order to be considered for financial support from Swim NB: https://www.swimnb.ca/10341/.

Good luck to all NB swimmers, coaches and officials who will be participating in the Canadian Trials being held April 5-10 in Victoria, BC.
April 2022: Development and NextGen Camps
2 development camps will be held on April 3rd in Campbellton and St Stephen. 32 swimmers in total will take part in these camps. A big thanks to Elise Hache and Karl Russel for running the camps, for AQUA and SSAC for hosting and to Brenna Rothfuss for the planification.

Also, a NextGen camp is scheduled for the 3rd week of April in Sackville. This camp will be split into two squads.
Squad 1 Friday, April 22- Saturday, April 23
Squad 1 will include clubs within two hours of MtA
(swimmers and coaches).
Squad 2 Saturday, April 23 – Sunday, April 24 Squad 2 will include athletes and coaches from outside the two-hour driving distance.
Both squads will have two technical pool sessions and one combined pool fitness challenge. During the camp information for team travel meets will be finalized for all next GEN participants including eastern participants. There will also be a nutrition session held for both groups as well as a possible gym session.

April Masters Challenge
Swimming Canada presents April Masters challenge with a timed 1000m freestyle. Record your time and submit your results or have your coach submit your team’s results.

Best Time Ribbons
Swim NB has purchased a bulk order of the best time ribbons. Clubs that would like to buy some can contact Landen MacDonald at: swimnb.sportcoordinator@gmail.com.
Each ribbon is $0.46.
SNB Summer Student
Swimming New Brunswick is currently seeking student applications for a Program Coordinator.
The position runs for 12 weeks (to be determined between April 25 and September 2) for 35/hours per week.
This position has been made possible through the Government of New Brunswick SEED program.
