COVID-19 Recreation & Sport Update

The Province has announced a road to re-opening plan, and we should see within the next days an easing of restrictions for sport and recreation which will allow for Provincial level competitions/clinics as well as increased capacity limits at outdoor venues.

Based on this, we are going ahead with plans for a NexGen-HP camp (probably in June) and the Atlantic Cup at Saint John in early July. We will be contacting clubs shortly to ask which clubs and how many swimmers are likely to participate.

Registration to the Mental Training Session

In partnership with the Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic (CSCA), Swimming NB will be hosting a mental training session for our Next Gen and HP swimmers. The theme of the session will be: A return to competition – How to manage our expectations and navigate our emotions.

The session will be presented in both languages and facilitated by Renee Matte who is a mental performance consultant with the CCSA, teaches psychology courses at UNB and coaches artistic swimming.

The session is scheduled for Saturday, June 5th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Please pass the following registration link to swimmers to confirm their participation by June 2, 2021.

We remind you that the list of swimmers of both groups is available on the following link:

Welcoming SNB’s 2021 Summer Student

Landen was a swimmer and team captain and is currently a coach at FAST and a lifeguard at UNB pool.

We invite all clubs that are planning to organize swimming activities this summer and need Landen’s services to contact us as soon as possible.
