Swimming at the Olympics

At the Olympics these past few weeks, we saw many amazing swims from our Canadian team. Our woman’s relay team took home silver in the 4 x 100m freestyle and bronze in the 4 x 100 IM relay. Maggie Mac Neil won gold in the 100m Butterfly. Kylie Mass won silver in the 100 back and the 200 back. Last but not least, Penny Oleksiak won bronze in the 200 free giving her a seventh Olympic medal making her the most decorated Canadian athlete of all time. We also saw many great times from a lot of our other swimmers, which shows great promise for the next Olympics in Paris.
We invite you to read this article written in French by Martin Leclerc who had an excellent discussion with John Atkinson, Director of High Performance at SNC, about the Canadian participation at the games, but also about the identification and development process done by SNC.
