Board of Directors: Meet Calendar Policy
The SNB Board of Directors has adopted the competition calendar policy. The sub-committee of calendar in accordance with the Technical Committee and in collaboration with the representatives of all clubs will prepare a draft of the 2020-2021 Calendar by 7th March 2020. We are currently in the process of translating the policy so that it should be available next week.
Board of Directors: 2020 AGM
The Board of Directors approved the request from the club BLAST to host the Annual General Meeting which will take place in Bathurst from 24th to 25th October 2020. Congratulations to BLAST!
NBOC: 2020 Easterns
All officials interested in participating in the 2020 SPEEDO EASTERN CHAMPIONSHIPS taking place in Windsor, Ontario from 16 to 19th April 2020 can sign up here.
President’s Council: Next Meeting
Kindly note that the next President’s Council meeting will take place on 4th or 6th February 2020. We will send a Doodle poll link at the beginning of next week to the club presidents to opt for their preferred date.
Technical Committee: Education Sub-Committee
A FUNdamental Coach Course will be held in Bathurst on Saturday, 15th February 2020, and delivered by Diane Guignard in French.
Sport and Recreation Branch: French Second Language Training
We are delighted to announce that French second language training is again available for free for staff and key volunteers of the Sport and Recreation community at the Sport NB office (Fredericton) starting on Tuesday, 4th February 2020. If interested, please complete the application form retrievable via the link below and send it to SR/SL@gnb.ca no later than Wednesday, 29th January 2020.

Swimming Canada: Masters
Swimming Canada will host a webinar on 30th January 2020 at 1 pm about the online Masters Meet Entry System. Please let us know in case you are interested, and we will share the link with you. The webinar will also be recorded for those who are unable to follow it live.
Swimming Canada: Update – 2020 Meet Packages
The meet packages for the 2020 Swimming Canada events have been updated and can be found on the individual meet pages.
These have been updated to include events for Swimming Canada and also provide information and clarification on late entries, as they pertain to new qualifying swimmers/events, after the entry deadline. Another update on how time trials will be conducted at the 2020 Trials will be communicated in early February to assist with planning.
Clubs – Employment opportunity:
Fredericton Aquanauts Swim Team (FAST) is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Head Coach who will join full time starting 1st August 2020. The Assistant Head Coach will be an integral part of FAST at all levels from Varsity swimmers (with UNB Reds) to Pre-Competitive swimmers and every age group in between. This is a fantastic opportunity for newer coaches who are looking to learn and grow, or an experienced coach who is passionate about coaching swimmers for high performance and for the love of the sport.

Good luck “#$ to all our young swimmers who will take part in the Premiers #3, which will be organized by Miramichi Whitecaps Swim Club (MWC) and Club De Natation Bleu Et Or (CNBO) in Miramichi and Moncton on 25th January 2020, and by Sussex Swordfish (SWRD) in Sussex on 26th January 2020 respectively.
