COVID-19 Level Measures for Sport and
Recreation (18.02.22)

Microsoft Word – NewsletterBulletin#7-2022

As you know, the province will be transitioning to Level 1 of the GNB COVID-19 Winter Plan tonight at 11:59pm. Please find bellow the level measures for organized sport and recreation activities. Updates include further information on isolation requirements for those who have previously tested positive.

We understand that there has been confusion on the isolation requirements related to organized recreation and sport activities. The requirement to avoid gatherings for 10 days (which includes organized sport and recreation activities) for those who test positive as well as their household members regardless of vaccination status is a Public Health directive that remains in place.

We remind you that for Phase 1:

  •  Masks are required in the facilities, but not when swimming or for dryland practice.
  •  People aged 12 and over must be vaccinated to enter the facilities.
  •  Practices and competitions are allowed, subject to risk management measures.
