SNB Officials Committee (NBOC)

At the recent annual meeting, the following new Officials Committee members for the 2019-2020 season were elected:

  • Chair – Gary Losier
  • Vice Chair – Dave Anderson
  • Secretary/Registrar – J.P. Dorris

Inquiries to the NBOC can be forwarded to their Secretary by e-mail:

We would also like to take the opportunity to thank Lucinda Hughey for her time spent for the NBOC.

Club Governance Support

During the AGM 2019, Mr. Rick Adams conducted a governance workshop for club presidents, head-coaches and other officials (please refer to the enclosed PPT presentation). Mr. Adams provided an overview of good governance practices, but the format made it impossible for him to go into the details, which are necessary for clubs that are seeking to address specific issues.

As part of his contract with SNB, Mr. Adams will provide an hour of one-on-one support and advice for each club by phone, video-call or in person, as appropriate. This could cover any of the subjects listed further below. Club presidents are requested to first contact the SNB Executive Director, who will then put the club in direct contact with Mr. Adams to arrange a suitable meeting. If a club wishes to continue working with Mr. Adams, then this will be at their own costs.

  • Vision and Mission statements
  • Board and Staff decision-making
  • Board and Staff policies, including Conflict of interest and Codes of conduct
  • Strategic planning
  • Club business plans

Best regards,
Marwen Ghali
