2023 Bell Canadian Swimming Trials

6 NB swimmers attended the SNC trials from March 28 to April 2, 2023 in Toronto, ON. 3 medals for Danielle and Brooklyn, 1 best swimmer Award for Danielle, 2 international qualifications for Brooklyn and Danielle, 2 provincial records for Brooklyn and Jacob! Well done!


– Gallant, Jacob (FAST): 200 Breaststroke, 200IM(Final), 400 IM (Final)
– Douthwright, Brooklyn (CNBO): 100 Backstroke (Final), 100 ButterFly, 50 Freestyle (Final), 100 Freestyle (Silver), 200 Backstroke, 200 Freestyle,
– Esson, Summer (CNBO): 50 Breaststroke, 50 Butterfly, 100 Backstroke Beausoleil, Noah (CNBO): 50 Butterlly
– Dorris, Danielle (CNBO): Para Swimmer of the Meet award. 50 Butterfly (Gold), 100 Bk (Bronze) Freestyle, 200 IM (Silver).
– LeRoy, Brynne (TIDE): 400 Freestyle, 1500 Freestyle (Final), 800 Freestyle (Final).

2 swimmers will represent Canada and NB this summer at the World Championships: Brooklyn Douthwright and Danielle Dorris. Congratulations!

NB Provincial Championships

Swim New Brunswick is excited to host the 2023 NB Provincial Championships at Canada Games Aquatic Centre in Saint John April 20-23rd. The meet package and the entry file are available here: https://www.swimming.ca/en/meet/39245/

Also, and in partnership with Jim Snow, Swimming NB will offer 2 sessions for coaches:

  • Information and video analysis session on Sunday, April 23 from 12.30 to 1.30 pm at the CGAC. All coaches registered with Swim NB are invited.
  • Pool session on Monday April 24 from 9.00am to 12.30pm HP-NextGen swimmers’ coaches. Swim NB will provide accommodation for the coaches attending.

Coaches interested in joining one or both sessions must fill out this form before April 12th.

NextGen Camp

Natation NB is planning to run a NextGen camp on May 7th and 8th 2023 in Sackville. 3 pool sessions, one Gym Session by a Physiotherapist, one Class Session by a Physiotherapist are planned. Accommodation at the MTA. Each swimmer will receive a T-shirt and a swim cap. Participation fees are $65.00. As spots are limited, we ask coaches to contact us before April 12th with the number of swimmers who plan to attend the camp. If your club has already set up an activity for the weekend of May 7th, please indicate an alternative date that is convenient for you.

LC Training session – April 2023

We have 1 LC session this coming month: Saturday, April 29th 4 LC lanes 9:45-1:45 pm. These sessions will be split from 9:45 am-11:45 am and 11:45 am-1:45 pm. If your club has a specific time preference, please let us know.

Golden Flipper March Results

New Brunswick swimmers have a big lead over those from the Northeast and Northwest of British Columbia. 467 points for NB to 171 for BC. Well done NB swimmers!!
