42 Swimmers and 8 coaches from around the province participated in the first Canada Games training camp of the season in Moncton this past weekend.
The training camp was led by Marta Belsh, Canada Games Head coach and assistant coaches Robin Ferdinand, Diane Guinard, Troy Blakney, Melanie Melanson, Randy MacDougall and Todd Saunders.
Janet Dunn, Swimming Canada’s Para Development coach was a special visitor and was present to direct our Para and SO athletes.
The camp included four hours of pool training, a seminar on athlete nutrition and team building and stretching with the dryland training.
Congratulations to all the athletes selected to the Canada Games Training Camp in Moncton.
Thanks to all our coaches who volunteered their Saturday to ensure a successful camp and a special thank you to Nancy Corbett, Canada Games Team manager for organizing the Athletes snacks and coaches lunch.
Our next Canada Games training camp is scheduled for January 4th & 5th in Saint John. Selection Criteria and Schedule will be forwarded to coaches and presidents soon.
