Swim NB Camp
We are pleased to inform you that the 2nd Development Camp of the season will take place on Mai 27-28th. Big thank you to Club de natation de Shippagan, Miramichi Whitecaps Swim Club and to St. Stephen Aquatic Club for hosting the 3 camps. The camp programs are available on the link below. The next gen camp that was planed for May 20-21 is cancelled. We are working to plan NextGen and HP camp on June 24-25 in Sackville. More details will follow soon.

LC Training session – May 2023
This is a reminder that Swim NB is offering 2 LC sessions training in June:
- Saturday June 3: Deadline to sign up: May 26 at 4pm
- Saturday June 17: Deadline to sign up: June 9 at 4pm.

Sharper Aquatic Image: delay to finalize videos.
We regret to inform you that Mr Jim Snow from Sharper Aquatic Image sustained a serious health issue on April 30th and it is impossible for him to finalize the videos that were filmed at the SwimNB Long Course Championship in Saint-John. For the time being, Mr. Snow’s team is working to try to find a solution in order to finalize these videos and send them to all who ordered them. Please rest assured that SwimNB will do all necessary efforts and collaborate with Mr. Snow’s team, to make sure these videos will be finalized and sent. Although, we can unfortunately expect a significant delay. As soon as we have more information, we will communicate with you. We thank you very much for your patience and let’s keep positive thoughts for Mr. Snow.
Swim Canada Masters Challenge: May 2023
The May challenge is to record the sum of your times for the 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle.

Canadian Open Water Festival

Free Coach Workshop: Enhancing athlete and coach well-being through coaching practices.
Game Plan is hosting a free opportunity for coaches facilitated by Dr. Simon Taylor, MPC on May 24th at 2pm (ADT). In this workshop from Dr. Simon Taylor, coaches will be introduced to a new way of thinking about the relationship they foster with athletes, drawing upon existing research from the world of sport, business, and education. Coaches will become familiar with an adaptable process-based approach that can contribute to the development of more independent athletes and enhance athlete and coach performance and well-being. The election of the Swimming Canada 2023-24 Board of Directors will take place at the Annual General Meeting, September 20, 2023.
Invitation to Participate in Research – Study on dietary and body image concerns among athletes.
The Université de Moncton invites you to participate in a research project that aims to better understand dietary concerns and body image perception. To participate in this study, simply complete three short online questionnaires via the link below. The total time to complete all questionnaires is approximately 30 minutes. The answers are anonymous. At the end of the questionnaires, you will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 prepaid gift card. A total of 10 gift cards will be given out.
