 Results from 2021 Atlantic Cup Swimming Championships

Swimming New Brunswick – Swimming NB is very pleased to announce the results from this past weekend’s 2021 Atlantic Cup Swimming Championships. The Swimming NB sanctioned event was hosted by the Fredericton Astronauts Swim Team. Approximately 155 swimmers from Atlantic Canada were in attendance from 2nd July 2021 to 4th July 2021 to compete in the Canada Games Aquatic Centre in Saint John, New Brunswick. 

The event drew swimmers from eleven clubs throughout New Brunswick and from St. John’s in Newfoundland and Labrador. It was the first meet in Canada to hold age group finals since March 2020.

With this time, Danielle Dorris annihilated her own national record from six weeks ago by 0.65 seconds, which makes her one to watch at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games set to get under way on 24th August 2021.

The Atlantic Cup was followed by a combined NextGen and HighPerformance Camp on Monday, 5th July 2021 delivered by Marta Belsh|FAST and assisted by Eric Kenney|CNS, Mohamed Rachidi|NES and Brian Wood|TIDE. The camp also included a virtual session with National Development Coach Ken McKinnon for the attending 17 swimmers from five clubs across the province.
